If you’re ever missing a tooth, you probably understand that it can be difficult for you to chew and speak properly. While these issues can be inconvenient, please note that missing one or more teeth can also make your other teeth shift. You’ll also be more prone to gum disease if you’re missing a tooth. Fortunately, there are several things you can do to address this issue. A dental bridge, for instance, could be the solution you need.

Dental bridges, which are designed to match the color and appearance of your natural teeth, are also anchored by your natural teeth. If this isn’t possible, our team may attach your bridge to an implant. In other instances, we could use an implant and a natural tooth to secure your bridge.

Typically, bridges are made to replace up to three consecutive teeth. Once a bridge is placed, your smile should look and feel natural. In fact, once a bridge is placed, you’ll be able to speak regularly, and chew and eat comfortably again.

Our team may need two visits to place your bridge. You see, time is needed to prepare your natural teeth for a bridge and to make sure your bridge looks and feels like your natural teeth. While you’re waiting for your permanent teeth to be placed, our team will place a temporary bridge. During your second appointment, we’ll place your permanent bridge.
